It’s an unvarnished, first-person tell-all tale of the dirty tricks now common in American political campaigns from someone who got muddied in the trenches and eventually paid the price – serving a three month prison sentence.

Allen Raymond was a top GOP operative. He spent nearly a decade working to elect Republican candidates, first at the state and then the national level. Raymond was the deputy political director for presidential candidate Steve Forbes 2000, Inc., and advised the presidential campaign on ballot access in multiple states, and campaign operations in the New Hampshire 2000 primary election. During the 1998 election cycle, Mr. Raymond was a Field Representative for the National Republican Senatorial Committee under Chairman Mitch McConnell, serving as a campaign advisor to various Republican U.S. Senate candidates. Raymond served time in federal prison for the telephone jamming operation during the 2003 New Hampshire election.

Raymond lives in the Washington, DC area with his wife Elizabeth Sherman and their two sons. Raymond has a B.A. from Hobart College and a M.A. from the Graduate School of Political Management, now affiliated with George Washington University.
